Visual Effects - 2D & 3D Work
3D Texturing & Modeling
Kai Patterson began testing out his skills in visual effects very early on when he realized that he could better translate his grand movie plots with the help of CGI. He was only 11 years old when he bought his own 3D software. He now uses programs such as Cinema 4D, Adobe After Effects and Blender to get the work done.
Patterson's VFX can be seen sprinkled throughout most of his movies including Red Mission, Stranded, and the award-winning short film Moments.
2D Animation
In college, Patterson was hired to animate a series of cartoons about Compound Interest, targeted at freshly graduated college students who feel lost when it comes to financials in the real world. Ever since then, he has taken on projects here and there that push his creativity in the art of 2D Animation.
Custom 3D Cinematic Logos
Patterson works professionally as a 3D artist, designing and animating custom logos for anyone that wants to spice up their filmmaking. It can be as simple as taking a 2D logo and designing it in 3D, or as complicated as starting from scratch and creating a beautiful 15 to 30 second Cinematic Logo Sequence.
